Lady Pirates Fall to Borden on the Road

I did not see the same team that I saw against Rock Creek on Monday night.  We had leads in the first two sets and did not fight to keep it.  We allowed Borden to dictate the tempo and did not capitalize when given opportunities.  We were sluggish on defense and struggled tonight with our passing.  Despite the set back, I know these girls will come back to work hard in practice tomorrow and will be prepared for South Central on Thursday”, commented Lady Pirate Head Coach Tammy Nuxoll.  Charlestown was led by Kaia Reid who finished with 10 kills, 6 aces and 13 digs.  The Lady Pirate Junior Varsity team improved to 8-9 with a 2-1 win against Borden (23-25, 25-23, and 15-11).
