Lady Pirates Headed in Right Direction versus Warriors

Volleyball:  Charlestown at Christian Academy

CHS JV lost 9-25, 6-25 / CHS Varsity lost 8-25, 8-25, 8-25

Coach Nuxoll:  Tonight we played a good CAI team.  Our inexperience at watching our hitters and blocking showed tonight.  We did not have an answer for #23 their outside hitter or for #11 their middle. Playing against a tough team like that can be frustrating, but I’m proud of how the players didn’t take out their frustrations on each other. Despite the loss, the players stuck together and that was a step in the right direction. Shelby Goedeker showed good leadership tonight and led the team in serve reception.

Our JV team played some really long rallies in the first match, but couldn’t come out on top. We struggled a little with our serving and just couldn’t gain momentum. In the second match we didn’t’ communicate as well as the first match. Again, the players stuck together and didn’t give up.
