Charlestown High School Student Council Releases 2021 Homecoming and Parade Information

Student Council would like to issue the following statement regarding this fall’s homecoming week, September 20th–24th.

2021 FOOTBALL HOMECOMING CEREMONY:

The 2021 Charlestown High School football homecoming ceremony will be held at halftime of the varsity football game against Scottsburg on Friday, September 24th. Tickets must be purchased at the following link: https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=2442 

 

2021 FOOTBALL HOMECOMING COURT:

We would like to congratulate the following students on their selection to the homecoming court:

Freshmen–Sarah England and Grason Connell

Sophomores–Echo Brading, Jayda Holbrook, Chipper Fellows, and Sean McAfee

Juniors–Laney Hawkins, Addison Roberts, Annika White, Josh Andrews, Jake Helton, and Zander Morris

Additionally, we would like to wish good luck to those seniors who are candidates for queen: Sunni Burke, Karly Byrnes, Savannah Gaither, Sadee Goedeker, and Micah Kaelin;

and for King: Jaron Almeciga, Chase Benner, Trey Brison, Steven Cruz, and Alex Wright

 

SPIRIT WEEK THEMES:

The following spirit days will be observed that week as part of the annual spirit week:

Monday, September 20th–Pajama Day

Tuesday, September 21st–White Lies Tee Day

Wednesday, September 22nd–Luau Day

Thursday, September 23rd–Class Shirt Day

Friday, September 24th–Pirate Pride Day

 

PARADE:

The 58th annual and longest running football homecoming parade in the state will be held on Wednesday, September 22nd at 5:30 P.M. This year’s theme is “Tropical Paradise.” The parade will begin in the student parking lot then proceed down Monroe to Main and stop at the square for the pep rally.  Floats need to be in line no later than 4:45. The pep rally will begin at approximately 6:00. You can see the line up and parade route in the graphics below. Public access will be restricted to the back parking lots nearest the baseball and softball fields and only parade traffic will be admitted in the student lot.

The Pirate football boosters will be selling ribeye sandwiches on the square.
