Recently in the presence of family, friends, and coaches, Charlestown graduate Maci Vaughn signed to attend school and play tennis at Indiana University Southeast in the fall.

Indiana University Southeast, a regional campus of Indiana University, is a four-year, public, comprehensive university located in New Albany, Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. Founded in 1941, it provides high-quality educational programs and services that promote student learning and prepare students for productive citizenship in a diverse society, and that contribute to the intellectual, cultural, and economic development of our region. IU Southeast competes at the NAIA level in the River States Conference and is home to ten varsity sports.

When asked about her choice to play at IU Southeast with the Grenadiers, Vaughn replied, “I am so blessed to be able to continue playing a game that I love. I am happy that I will have the opportunity to play nearby so my family and friends can attend.
I’m grateful for all of the love and support I have gotten from my Pirate family.”

Charlestown tennis coach Scott Matthews shared his sentiments on Vaughn saying, “On behalf of the entire Lady Pirate Tennis team, we want to congratulate Maci and wish her the very best at IUS. We know she will go on to do great things on and off the court.”

WPMQ, The Pirate Network congratulates Maci and wishes her a healthy and prosperous future as an Indiana University Southeast Grenadier.
