Lady Pirates Thump Louisville Southern Ten-Nil
The Charlestown Lady Pirate girl’s soccer team (1-1) traveled to Southern of Louisville on Wednesday for a non-conference match-up with the Trojans. The Lady Pirates got it done quick and seemingly painless, scoring ten goals to end the game by halftime; as Southern failed to answer for a 10-0 final. Charlestown’s Senior Tayte Motsinger led the Lady Pirates with four goals, Jessaca Rawson added three, while Machayla Hawkins, Ilayah Keltner, and Olivia Dieterlen each added a goal respectively. Motsinger also contributed 3 assists and Keltner contributed 1; as Charlestown logged nineteen totals shot on goal. “Our passing looked better tonight and we had some great combinations going to goal. I know that our girls liked the feeling of putting the ball in the back of the net but we still have things we need to improve on. We will use this moving forward as motivation to continue working toward our goals”, commented Lady Pirate Head Coach Kelsey Rogers. Charlestown will next face MSC foe Corydon on September 6th, on the road.
