Lady Pirates Pummel Rock Creek 108-21

The Charlestown Lady Pirates moved to 12-1 on the season with a 108-21 win over visiting Rock Creek Academy (4-11) in the CHS Sports Arena Tuesday evening.  Charlestown jumped out to a 26-5 first quarter lead before stretching it to a 62-7 halftime advantage before posting the victory.  The Lady Pirate starters accounted for 68 total points, lead by Justice Burdin’s 20 points, Lexi Logsdon’s 18, and Kaitlynn Henning’s 16.  The Lady Pirate reserves scored the remaining 40 points of the winning score.  Freshmen Erin Kimbrell (14), Bri Harvey (12), and Gabi Gagnon (8) combined for 34 points as even the Lady Pirate reserves were much more than the visiting team could handle.  Charlestown will host Jeffersonville (9-6) on Thursday evening, and Brownstown (12-3) on Saturday afternoon (1:30 pm) in a huge conference showdown.
