Knoebel Signs with IU Southeast to Play Ball

KneobelSigningRecently Senior Pirate Basketball player gathered with family and school officials to formerly sign his intent to attend and play men’s basketball at Indiana University Southeast.  Jordan stated that given the fast paced style of ball the Grenadiers play; combined with a location that is close to home, were big factors in deciding to play at IUS.  Pirate Basketball Head Coach Jason Connell commented that Jordan’s decision is a “great opportunity” for him, and is well deserving since he has literally “dedicated his life to playing basketball”.  Jordan’s worked hard on being a fast paced player, “his speed and shifty ball handling capabilities” should fit in real well at Indiana University Southeast.  “He’s a tough kid, and we like that”, commented ten year IUS Head Coach Wiley Brown.  “We believe Jordan’s type of leadership defensively” will be a big asset to the program.  Coach Brown has also led his Grenadier teams to seven consecutive KIAC Conference Championships from 2007-08 to 2013-14; six-straight KIAC Tournament titles from 2007-08 to 2012-13; with a 186-67 record.

During Jordan’s signing, shown seated at center, he was joined by his parents Tony and Paula Knoebel, seated on either side.  Jordan was also joined by grandmother Faye Gargano (seated far left) and his sister Marissa (seated far right).  Shown left to right standing and supporting Jordan are IUS Head Coach Wiley Brown, Uncle Jeff, CHS Head Coach Jason Connell and CHS Athletic Director Chad Gilbert.  Congratulations to Jordan Knoebel and his decision to play college basketball at Indiana University Southeast.
