Mark Laughner – School Principal
Principal Mark Laughner graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education from Purdue University in 1993 and received his Master of Science degree from Florida Atlantic University in Educational Leadership in 2001. Mr. Laughner returned to school recently, receiving his Superintendent’s Licensure from Indiana State University in 2016. Mr. Laughner started his career at W.T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach, Florida as Social Studies teacher and coach from 1994-2001 before moving to Indiana. Mr. Laughner was Social Studies teacher, Varsity Football Assistant and Varsity Boys Basketball Assistant Coach at Clarksville High School from 2001-2002. Mr. Laughner then became the Assistant Principal at Clarksville Middle School from 2002-2005. Mr. Laugher then enter Greater Clark County Schools as Assistant Principal at Parkview Middle School from 2005-2012. Mr. Laughner has served as Principal at Charlestown High School since 2012. Mr. Laughner has several certifications, including Indiana Secondary Principal’s License, Indiana Social Studies Teacher’s License, Florida K-12 Principal’s Certification and Florida Social Studies Teaching Certification. Mr. Laughner is married to Dr. Sherri Brown, who is a professor at the University of Louisville. He has two children, Braydon, who is a junior at the University of Louisville and Kaylee, who is a senior in high school. Along with his administrative and teaching experience, Mr. Laughner also coached high school football and baseball in South Florida and had the pleasure of coaching several players that later played in the NFL and MLB. This is Mr. Laughner’s 13th year as a School Principal.
