CLPYFA to Host Dinner Prior to FC Scrimmage

The Charlestown Little Pirate Youth Football Association (CLPYFA) will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner prior to the Aug 15th home scrimmage versus Floyd Central.  Dinner will begin at 5:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm, which is the scheduled start time of the Pirate Football scrimmage hosting Floyd Central.  The dinner will be held at the Charlestown Arts & Enrichment Center (A&E), located at 999 Water Street.  All Spaghetti Dinners will be $6.00 each with proceeds to benefit Charlestown Little Pirate Football.  Stop and have dinner with several of your fellow Pirate Football fans, on your way to the August 15th scrimmage.  For more information about the CLPYFA, go to www.CharlestownLittlePirateFootball.com.

Annual Football Blue-White Scrimmage Scheduled

FootballBLUEWHITEScrimmageTag400Pirate Football will hold its annual Blue-White Scrimmage on Friday, August 8th, 2014 beginning at 6:00 pm on Dutch Reis Field.  Admission is free and is the first opportunity most of Pirate Nation gets to see organized team workouts, in an inter-squad scrimmage format.  The annual Pirate Pride Sports Broadcasting Season Preview Show will be filmed immediately following the scrimmage, as in years past.

The Pirates are also scheduled to scrimmage Floyd Central the following Friday night, August 15th, in the Bone Yard in advance of their season opener at Madison on the 22nd.

Mark your calendars, Friday Night Pirate Football begins August 8th, with the annual Blue-White Scrimmage at CHS.

Tentative Fall Schedules Posted

The Charlestown High School Athletic Department and Pirate Pride Booster Club have released tentative Fall Sport Schedules on the new Pirate Pride website, located at www.PiratePride.BLUE.  Links to the schedules can be located near the top of each Fall Sport home page, listed under “Fall Sports”.  The schedules are again tentative and subject to some changes in advance of the beginning of each sport’s official IHSAA season.

Not that Pirate Nation has or will forget, the week two regular season football MSC rivalry match up with Brownstown will be played in Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium, on Saturday, August 30th, 2014.  Kick off is scheduled at 2:30 pm, as part of a special four game day of Indiana High School football in the home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts.  Additional information for Pirate Nation will soon be announced, however several fans have already made Saturday evening hotel arrangements at the Holiday Inn Express, located across the street from the stadium at 410 E.
