2024 Fall Homecoming Information Released from CHS Student Council

We are just a week away from the annual homecoming parade and Student Council would like to share information regarding next week’s events!

SPIRIT/SERVICE WEEK: September 9-13
Monday kicks off “In the Spirit of Service” and Spirit Week! Dress up days are listed on the attached poster. Additionally, Student Council will be collecting goods for the Center for Lay Ministries. The 6th Period Class who donates the most goods will win a pizza party! The following are items the Center needs:

Food–peanut butter, cereal, spaghetti & sauce, crackers, Ramen noodles, soup, ravioli, Spaghettios, canned vegetables & fruit
Hygiene Products–shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, soap, toothpaste, toilet paper
Cleaning supplies– Laundry & Dish Soap

PARADE: September 12th – 5:00 PM
Thursday is the parade! This year’s theme is “Get in the Game!” The student parking lot must be cleared by 3:30 that day. After that time, parade participants ONLY may enter the student lot from ANY direction. All floats need to be in the parking lot in the assigned space facing Park St by 4:30 PM.

No non-participant traffic will be allowed through after 3:45!!! Passing traffic must not enter the student lot for any reason. You must go around and enter from Monroe St. between the tennis courts and softball field and park in the teacher parking lot and walk over if necessary. Parking is also available at the Family Activities Park that day. We have to keep the staging area free of additional traffic for the safety of our students.

The parade staging map as well as the parade route are attached. As a reminder, this year’s parade is facing a major change in that it will start AND END here at CHS with the pep rally in the football stadium area. We have outgrown the town square!

Mr. Baker and the Pirate Football Boosters will be at the pep rally with their annual tradition of ribeye sandwiches!
