Playing without starters Sara Rutkowski and Jordan Popp, the Lady Pirates
persevered and manage a tie against Whitefield Academy. Tayte Motsinger scored a
hat trick and an assist on the fourth goal which went to Gabi Wixon. Irene
Romero, Tapanga Larson, Cheyenne Hawk and Piper Clark stepped up and filled the
void left by the absent starters. The defense logged a lot of minutes and stayed
in the game. Motsinger, Wixon, Beverly Quinteros and Isabel Arredondo kept
pressure on the Whitefield defense. A mental error on the second half kick-off
and a controversial call in the box helped keep Whitefield in the game.
