The Pirates finished 2nd in the boys competition, only 9 points out of first with Providence, Rock Creek and Henryville.  Top Pirate finishers included:  Steven Delaney (1st in 300m hurdles, 1st in 1600m relay, and 2nd in 110m hurdles); Brenden Lawler (1st in Long Jump and 400m relay); Luke Finchum (1st in Shot Put); Mitch Wurtsmith (1st in 400m relay); Charles Dickens (1st in 400m relay); Trey Woodward (1st in 400m relay and 2nd in 100m dash); Drashaun Morrow (1st in 1600m relay, 2nd in 400m dash, and 2nd in 3200m run); Bo Braunecker (1st in 1600m relay); Josh McCoy (2nd in two mile run, and 2nd in 3200m relay); Zack Bower (2nd in 3200m relay); and Logan Gurr (2nd in 3200m relay).  “Another great showing by our Pirate Track and Field!  It’s great to see steady improvement as this was only our 3rd meet. With back to back meets, and 3 in a row for our 4X1, and Steven in the 110 hurdles, we rested some people in certain events. So only being 9 points out of first place, I am very pleased with our performance!”, commented Boys Head Coach Jerry Doyle.

Track and Field will be in action again on Friday, April 14th at the Silver Creek Invitational.
