Pirates Host Clarksville Friday, Several Activities Scheduled

Charlestown Pirate Basketball will host MSC rival Clarksville Friday night night in the CHS Sports Arena.  Coach Connell and Coach McEwen want to help bring awareness about the disease that affects all of us in some way by designating Friday’s game as a Coaches vs. Cancer event.  During halftime, Cheerleaders will be asked to walk through the stands for donations from fans, which will go to the American Cancer Society here in Clark County.

The coaching staffs of both teams will be wearing the signature sneaker, which promotes eating right, exercising, healthy lifestyle choices, and following cancer screening guidelines.

The 100 years of Charlestown Basketball Book…A great Christmas Idea… will be available for purchase and autograph by author Chuck Ledbetter, Sr..  Each book is 25 dollars and all proceeds go to the CHS Athletic Department.

During halftime Friday night, Pirate Nation will also be honoring the Jonathan Jennings Elementary Blue and White Girls Basketball Teams.  The White Team made it to the this year’s Final Four and the Blue Team repeated as GCCS Girls Basketball Champions under the coaching of Jeff Farmer, Donnie Roark and Patti Howard.

Don’t miss any of Friday night’s events in the Sports Arena Pirate Nation.
