At two doubles, Cooper Cundiff and Sammy Padgett defeated Austin Smith (Senior) and Jacob Doherty (Sophomore) 6-2, 6-1. “Matches were competitive. We have to learn how to close out sets and matches when we have that opportunity. We are close to being a sectional contender. Silver Creek is the best team in the sectional,” commented Head Coach Scott Matthews following the loss. The Pirate Tennis team (1-1 overall; 0-1 MSC) will be back in action Monday night, traveling to South Central High School.
