Pirate Swimmers Battle Salem

The Charlestown High School Boys and Girls Swim team hosted conference rival Salem Wednesday night at the Charlestown Middle School.  Charlestown, in its second meet of the season, fell to Salem 78-75 (girls final) and 70-27 (boys final) however won several events.  In a sport where number of event participants mean critical team points, both teams (especially the boys team), could use some more numbers.  Charlestown event winners versus Salem are as follows:  Girls 200 Medley Relay team (Madison Baker, Kaleigh Grayson, Molly Sumner, & Regan Hebner); Girls 200 Free (Carley Shreeve); Girls 200 Individual Medley (Kaleigh Grayson); Girls 100 Butterfly (Kaleigh Grayson); Girls 100 Free (Carley Shreeve); Boys 100 Backstroke (Sam Tetrick); Boys 100 Breaststroke (Chase Fellows); and the Girls 200 Freestroke Relay (Carley Shreeve, Allysa Weber, Molly Sumner, & Kaleigh Grayson).  The girls Swimming Pirates are back in action on Tuesday, December 8th at Jeffersonville High School; and both teams will travel to North Harrison on Saturday the 12th.
