Martinez Named New Pirate Soccer Coach
The Charlestown High School Athletic Department is excited to announce that Cristian Martinez has been chosen to be the new head coach for the Boys Soccer team at Charlestown High School.
Coach Martinez has played soccer for 26 years. At 15 years old, coach Martinez was coached by retired profession soccer players and played semi-pro soccer. As a coach, he has three years of experience with recreational teams at the Clark County Soccer Association and two years with Sacred Heart Catholic School. Coach Martinez has also coached a U15 travel team for Southern Indiana United this past spring.
Joining Coach Martinez on the sideline for 2017 will be JV Coach Michael Thibideau and assistant Francisco Calvario. Coach Thibideau and Coach Calvario bring a vast amount of soccer knowledge and experience into the program.
