Henning & Burdin Help Lift East All-Stars to Win
While most high school girls were sleeping off the all night affects of Prom, Lady Pirates Kaitlynn Henning and Justice Burdin were lacing up the shoes for one more high school game. Sunday’s annual HBCA (Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association/www.hbcahoops.org) East-West All-Star Classic, at Bloomington North High School; provided the event and venue for one more game before thoughts of college became real. Henning and Burdin, who recently signed to play Junior College Basketball with tow different schools within the same college conference; got one more chance to play together, and along with Lady Pirate and East All-Star Coach Michael Prichard. The East All-Star team rallied from a 36-30 halftime deficit to beat their West All-Star counterparts 90-84 in overtime. Kaitlynn Henning finished the game with 12 points and Justice Burdin 3 respectively. Game MVP went to Floyd Central’s Madison Kaiser, who finished with 27 points and 16 rebounds.
